Terms of Use
Last updated: July 29, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the LipidLog mobile application and this website, both operated by DahVio Studios (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using LipidLog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
LipidLog Is Not Medical Advice
This is the most important term in this document. LipidLog is a personal tracking and educational tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it does not provide medical advice.
LipidLog includes a projection feature that estimates a possible range for your next lipid panel based on habits you log. These projections are population-level estimates, not predictions about you personally. They are derived from published research on how groups of people respond to dietary and lifestyle changes. Your actual results will differ, and a projection is never a substitute for an actual blood test.
Never start, stop, or change any medication — including statins or other lipid-lowering drugs — based on anything LipidLog shows you. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your cholesterol, your test results, and your treatment. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use LipidLog. The app is designed for adults managing their own cholesterol and is not intended for children.
Subscriptions and Billing
LipidLog offers a free tier and a paid tier, LipidLog Pro. Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
Auto-renewing subscription
The LipidLog Pro subscription bills every 3 months at the price shown in the app for your region. Prices are set per App Store storefront and are displayed before you purchase. A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel first.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID account settings; the subscription remains active through the end of the period already paid for.
Lifetime purchase
The lifetime unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase tied to your Apple ID. It does not renew and is not billed again. It grants access to Pro features for as long as the app remains available and supported.
Managing and canceling
All purchases are processed by Apple. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings on your device, or through the subscription management screen inside LipidLog. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are governed by Apple’s policies and requested through Apple, not through us. We cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.
Your Data and Your Responsibility
Your lab values, habit check-ins, and profile are stored locally on your device. We do not operate an account system and we cannot recover your data for you.
This means that if you delete the app, reset your device, or lose it, your LipidLog history is gone unless you exported it first. Use the export features in Settings if your history matters to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is collected and how it is handled.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use LipidLog to provide medical advice or clinical care to other people
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with subscription or entitlement checks
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
Intellectual Property
LipidLog, including its name, design, scoring methodology, and content, is owned by DahVio Studios and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your own purposes. Your own health data remains yours.
Disclaimer of Warranties
LipidLog is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any score, projection, or insight it produces will be accurate for your individual situation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DahVio Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health outcome, arising from your use of LipidLog. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Apple as a Third-Party Beneficiary
These Terms are between you and DahVio Studios, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for LipidLog or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the app develops. The “last updated” date above will change when we do. Continuing to use LipidLog after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Termination
You may stop using LipidLog at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections covering disclaimers, liability, and intellectual property survive termination.
